First day success!

I am so proud of my Room 10 kiddos!!!

Today was a big day with so much to listen and learn. Everyone worked hard to keep sanitized and masked up whenever asked. Remember, if you move you mask.

Because we have a smaller class size in Room 10 we are fortunate that when we sit at our table spot, we are able to take a mask break. For now, I have supplied  paper bags to store the masks, while breaks are taken. You are welcome to send in a mask container to keep the masks sanitary during mask breaks.

CBE masks were distributed today. Some chose to keep them at school and some chose to bring them home. They seem to fit on the smaller side.

Please send in a water bottle for your child. They are able to refill them at our sink. It is hot and dry during the summer months, especially with a mask.

Please ensure your child brings a backpack every day. They will travel with your child throughout the day at recess, lunch and music classes.

Our kiddos are not used to scheduled eating times (neither am I πŸ˜†) so please send extra food. Some of us were finished all of our food and still felt hungry.

One of the biggest challenges of our day was around SHARING! We teach our kiddos that sharing is caring and now, we have to reverse that and teach that NOT SHARING is caring. Please remind your child that they must not grab at shared school materials, share supplies or handle any property but their own. Any time a child touches any item in our room, it must be put away to be sanitized at a later time. Sooooo, if a child is grabbing things off of shelves without permission, those things are now unable to be used by anyone. There is so much new learning and we will work hard with your children to build empathy, flexibility and care for self and others.

Your kids did so well today! I know we will have a great year together. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
